VEDIC ESSENCE- Dismantling Today's Dietary Dogmas

PLANT BASED OILS are not good for our health. Optimum oil that should be consumed is GHEE. But regulations in and around 1950-1990 made such dietary recommendations through questionable research articles, with the help of MNC LOBBIES (one such example just search P&G, its lobbies, its effects on dietary guidelines and medical fraternity), ultimately lead to EXAGGERATION of FACTS that linked SATURATED FAT with HEART ATTACKS, started pushing SEED OILS into the market as a “HEALTHIER” alternative. Although consuming MUSTARD OIL or any other seed oil tends to be a more financially viable option than ghee, it should be consumed in MODERATE quantities. And about the NEW MARKETING GIMMICK that “OLIVE OIL IS GOOD FOR HEALTH”, IT IS NOT. It is just less heating than any other seed oil, and also lighter than ghee but it DOESN’T have any QUALITIES to balance DOSHAS. It shouldn’t be used as PRIMARY OIL.
My take on it - as more and more INDEPENDENT research articles come out, more and more of those corrupt new age dietary advisory will get DEBUNKED. ANIMAL BASED OILs are better than PLANT BASED OILs. In the end, SCIENCE HAS TO GO BACK TO ITS 5000 YR OLD TRADITION. Although I understand LIMITATIONS of AYURVEDA in medical emergencies and some specific aspects, AT LEAST IN DIETARY SUBJECT/GUIDELINES, MOCKING ANCIENT PRACTICES AND TRADITIONS, would be CHILDISH.
